trick or treating.

Hello.  Hope you had a nice halloween.  Halloween is probably one of my least favorite "holidays" because of the scary, gory, spooky, gross stuff.  But, I L.O.V.E. the candy!  I never spend much on costumes and have been lucky to find ours at garage sales.  And for the 1 or 2 times they are worn, that's a.okay with me.

This year Izzy wanted to be a vet.  We found a scrub/lab coat at Goodwill for $4!  Eli wanted to be a football player and we already had his uniform.  He decided not to wear his helmet but a knit hat because that's how Calvin Johnson does it, on the sidelines.

On Sunday afternoon, we meet our bff's at our church's "Trunk or Treat."  It was a beautiful, chilly day but we all had fun.  The kids got to go on a horse drawn hay ride, play games, and go down a super bouncy slide.  Good times!

On Monday night, we had our other bff's over went around the whole neighborhood.  It was another beautiful day and the kids were running from house to house.  Then they got back and traded candy and "sold" their candy.  And now I'm eating all of the candy!  ha. no seriously.

Look at cute little Charlie in his sock monkey outfit.  awwww.

And now it is over.  Take down the scary decorations please.

New Look...

Look who got glasses?

Both of my kiddos have glasses now.  They both have astigmatisms which means that the shape of their eyes is more football shaped than basketball shaped and causes vision to be blurred.  Boo!  But they both look adorable in their glasses and love them.

Photo Shoot & The Perfect Blue Door...

One afternoon, while we vacationed in Ludington, I took the kids into town while Joel & Jeff golfed.  My plan was to enjoy the shops and try to find some unique places to take pictures of the kids.  (I promised them a ice cream cone if they cooperated.)  I found the "perfect" blue door as our background and was really pleased with the outcome.

As promised... Ice cream at House of Flavors!

Water Balloons!!!

It was HOT today!  We decided to fill up a few water balloons.  The kids had a lot of fun just tossing them around and trying to catch them.

Then we went swimming at the neighbors... a little better than water balloons on a super warm day.  :-)

I love the facial expressions on Eli and Izzy's faces!
