Snow Day!!!

We had our first snow day today! No school! Even the local colleges canceled classes, which rarely happens. Joel has been out plowing since midnight and still is not home. The snow comes with mixed feelings in our household. While we certainly appreciate the snow's beauty, it means long, crazy hours for Joel. It's great for the family business, but Joel doesn't really get to "enjoy" it and we don't get to see him a lot. Oh well, only 4 more months of this. Yippee.

I stepped outside BRIEFLY to shovel the sidewalk and check the mailbox... it was freezing, snow was blowing,... brrrr. Here's some pictures of how it looks outside.

This is our kitchen window... I thought it looked neat with the snow around the edges.

We anticipated a snow day today, so I had a couple of things for the kids to do-crafts... making rudolph and a snowman...

...and making reindeer mix to munch on while we watched a movie.

Oh, Joel's home now and the kids are going to help him snowplow our driveway. Hope you are staying safe and warm!

You're so creative! How fun, we don't get much snow here...I figure if it's going to be so cold it might as well snow!
