It is exactly 12:00 as I write this post. I can hear fireworks going off somewhere. Happy New Year! It's hard to believe another year has flown by and a new one is now beginning... 2010, wow?! Our New Year's Eve was not exactly what we had planned. We had to cancel plans with our good friends since Eli was up all night the previous night throwing up. Neither he or I got much sleep (don't worry, I took a nap, which is why I am still up!). I slept surprisinly well, when I did sleep, on the floor of his room. I don't like it one bit when one of my kids are sick. I feel awful for them, and want to take away their discomfort, pain, and yuckiness! But I can't so I just put my arms around him, patted his back while he was getting sick, and just made sure he knew I was right there with him. As parents, we'll do anything for our kids. As I was laying on the floor in between Eli's throwing up periods, I was reminded of how much God, our Father, loves us and puts his arms around us and just lets us know HE is there for us, if we open the door to HIM. Think of how much you love your child... can you fathom that God loves you, us, even more than that?! Wow, I'm so glad he does!
Wishing you bountiful blessings, good health, and happiness this new year!

Happy New Year! Sorry to hear Eli was sick. We were home last night as well, and actually almost called you guys to see what you were doing... sounds like you would have been busy either way. :) Hope you all have a great new year! Let's try to set a date to get together soon.
