Eli's terrible, no good, very bad day!

After a sleepless Tuesday night, I took Eli to the pediatrician on Wednesday to find out that he had a very bad double ear infection.  Ugh!  So, we got him started on antibiotics.  After taking the antibiotics for a day, we thought that it was making Eli's tummy upset.  Turns out he had a little stomach bug on top of the double ear infection.  Since he wasn't able to keep the antibiotic down, we had to go back to the pediatrician's on Friday for an injection of antibiotics for the ear infection.  Soooooo... we get there and Eli is NOT happy.  He has lost 2 lbs. since Wednesday, which is apparently not good for a child.  Why can't that not be good for an adult... "uh, Mrs. DeVisser, you have lost 2 lbs. and that is not good.  Please resume your normal diet of desserts and Mt. Dew."  Anyway, Eli got a shot in each thigh for his ear infections.  Then he received a suppository in his bum to help settle his tummy.  The whole time he was screaming and crying.  It took 3 women to hold this kid down.  He was sobbing and saying "I'm never coming back here!"  (I haven't mentioned to him yet that we DO have to go back for his 5 year checkup, in which he will receive more immunizations.)  What an emotional, long day!!!  Spring, please come, please... soon, real soon!
