Just a random post here... is randomness a word? Anyway, here's what we've been up to...
*Got my hair cut and highlighted last night. I was letting it grow out and enjoying being able to just throw it up in a ponytail. But, I decided to get it cut. I really like the color. I like the length too, but feel like short hair makes my face look "full."
* Isabel is taking piano lessons and seems to have some musical talent. I'm excited for her! Our friend, Connie, taught her how to play "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and she's burned that to memory.
* When Eli can't/ or doesn't want to finish a meal he'll start asking if he has to eat it all in order to get dessert. Our answer is always yes, you do need to finish. Then he'll start saying his tummy hurts. So, I tell him that he doesn't get dessert and needs to take a nap. Wouldn't you know that as suddenly as the tummy-ache appeared it's gone! Amazing.
* One of my favorite Easter candy are these delicious treats, and 75% off at Walgreens, making them only 12 cents. Whoo hooo!
*Eli loves sports! He's already been asking when his next T-Ball game is. I think/ hope that he's gonna take after his Daddy. Did you know that Joel was drafted as a senior in high school by the Seattle Mariners, but chose to play baseball at Western Michigan University on a scholarship? In fact, he still holds the record for most stolen bases at WMU. Way to go babe!!!
*I recently "redecorated" a wall in Izzy's room. Really, I just took out some old artwork and put in some cute scrapbook paper and black butterfly shilouettes that I made in the black frames. I love it though!
*Eli does not like to lose and wants everyone to play games "his" way. He is not a gracious loser either. It's something we are really working on.
I was laughing here because Eli was changing the rules as we played. If he made a basket he got like 3 points, but I could only get 1.
Either he lost or something didn't go his way.
I think that's all for now. Hope you all are enjoying your Spring!
