Joel's Grandma DeVisser passed away on Friday night. She was 87 years old and leaves behind a loving husband of 64 years, 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
The funeral service was very nice. The pastor was grandma's nephew. It was fun to hear some of the stories about "Aunt Martha" that he shared.
The family is finding comfort in knowing Grandma is in heaven. She will be missed.
Some of Joel's memories of his Grandma include her generosity, her delicious homemade meals (especially the "great" pies), and yearly Easter egg hunts as a kid. I will remember her love of roses and hummingbirds.
Here is a picture of Grandpa with his two sons and two grandsons. Despite the circumstance, it was wonderful to have many family members here to celebrate Grandma's full life.
