DIY Birthday Banner...

E's birthday theme was the Detroit Tigers.  (This kid is all boy and totally into any and all sports.)  We found some cool Tiger plates, napkins, and balloons.

I decided to make a pennant banner to go with everything else.  By using scrapbook paper and my sewing machine, this is what I came up with:

All I did was cut triangle shapes out of the scrapbook paper.

Then I stacked them in order, so that I could just work my way through the stack and sew them together in one simple, straight line.

Then I overlapped them just a little and sewed them together and hung it up.

There you go... easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

Okay, we seriously like the same things. We just made a banner like this for Lucy for her birthday party Thursday! And if you check out my last post, we've done your canvas art idea as well--I loved it when I saw it on your blog! And there are more projects you've done that I love (handprint ornament and the family rules...) so we'll probably do them as well. Thanks for sharing!
