Resurrection Eggs

I recently came across a blog post about doing the Resurrection Eggs with your kids.  We had a set of eggs that Izzy brought home one year from Sunday School, but never did anything with.  So, this year I decided we would give it a go.  I used the scripture reading and egg idea from THIS blog.  We just opened egg number 6 tonight.  The kids have been really excited about doing it and I feel that they are at a great age to listen, understand, and ask questions about the scripture that we are reading.  I'm really happy that we are doing it and plan on making it a yearly Easter tradition.

Our Resurrection Eggs are hanging out in our new "custom" IKEA bookshelf (more on that later!).

What are your EASTER traditions?

We just made a set of Resurrection eggs at MOPS last week, and I love them! I do agree with you though.. your kids are at a great age to sit, listen & understand each egg.. Aidan on the other hand didn't really "get" it yet! I plan on trying to make it a tradition too! :)

Love the eggs...Olivia did those in preschool. But still was a little young to really totally appreciate it. Will be fun to do when the girls are a bit older.

AND want to see photos of all your Ikea purchases : )

Not sure why my name came off as "bob"--must be under the greenhouse e-mail or something (which is under my Dad's name). : ) Anyways--the comment was from Laura, not Bob : )
