Chicago or bust...

We went on an adventure yesterday.  Just Izzy, me, and some of our closest peeps... my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and niece.  We needed our walking shoes for this...

We took the train in to Chicago for a girls day to take Izzy and Kaitlyn to the American Girl store.
We had a wonderful, wonderful day!

Izzy and Kaitlyn spent the train ride pouring over the AG magazine to try and get an idea of what they wanted to buy.

Walking down Michigan Ave. in Chicago.  We had a beautiful day!

The girls each used their own money to buy a new "Just Like Me" doll. While the dolls don't necessarily look like the girls, it is what they wanted.

"American Girl celebrates a girl's inner star - that little whisper inside that encourages her to stand tall, reach high, and dream big."  {That's awesome... thank you for such a positive message AG!!}

I loved watching I and K try to make decisions about what to buy and had a great time with the girls on this very special day.

Izzy and her new doll, creatively named Isabel, after an outfit change and hair redo.

 {Kaitlyn named her doll Emily.}

The whole gang!

A few quick pics before catching the train home...

Trader Joe's {wish we had one!}...

A street performer...

And the last picture of the day, on the way home...

Good Memories!

So happy you enjoyed such a fun DeVisser Girl's Day!!! Seeing Chicago brings back wonderful memories of a city we loved living near our first years of marriage :-)

Love, Mom

Well first of all, I have to say that I LOVE your purple shoes. ;) Second of all, I find it very interesting that the girls didn't pick AG's with their same hair color and what not. Surprising! And awesome how Izzy named hers Isabel. :) Looked like a really neat day!
