We recently celebrated another birthday in this house. Our little guy turned 7!!! For their special day, the birthday kid gets to pick where they would like to go out to dinner. Eli picked Steak-n-Shake -- yum! Shakes for all! Then we we went home and opened family gifts. His favorite gift was his new Michigan State shorts and jersey. My heart warmed at his sweet sister's present too. Using her own money, she bought Eli a card, pack of gum, and bouncy ball. She's so thoughtful!
Then we had the family party - great grandparents, grandparents, great aunt, cousins, and aunt and uncle. We went with the Lions theme... plates, napkins, straws, and balloons. Yay! We kept it simple with a birthday cake, cookies, Twizzlers, and mixed nuts.
Happy Birthday buddy!! We love you lots. ♥

Sharing E's birthday with so many family was so much FUN, even with the hasty retreat at evening's end. We were sad for E, but it will definitely add to his 7th birthday memories! Ours too :-)
