Time for another Fab.U.lous Finds post!
I went to an estate sale on Friday. I was going back and forth about whether or not I should go... it was a 30+ minute drive and sometimes I find that estate sales can be pricey. But I was having a grumpy day and decided just to do it and take a drive and have fun! And I ended up doing a little Mother's Day shopping for me... (you are welcome babe). It was a really, really good sale. Here are some of my fabulous finds:
Old globe and chalkboard/ cork board
Dutch Maid milk container. I loved the font and the fact that it said "dutch." (I have 100% dutch ancestry/heritage.) I think it is going to store baseballs.
And old, sturdy cabinet. It is heavy and tall and it fit in the mini van! I've got plans to sand it and repaint it.
This very old and needs lots of work dresser for $15. I love the knobs!
And finally, the best for last... a jenny lind, double bed for my daughter!
It needs some work, I know, but it is mostly just cosmetic. But for $50, talked down to $35... it was a steal! I just saw a double jenny lind bed on Land of Nod for over $600! Whoa! I had always hoped to find a twin jenny lind, but I think this will be even better. :-)
I started cleaning off the chipping paint with steel wool tonight. I'm so excited to get to work on this!
