Shedd Aquarium (Chicago)

We spent our last day in Chicago at Shedd Aquarium.  It was a "free" general admission day, but if you wanted access to the Wild Reef and Fantasea show, it was extra.  So, this "free" day costs us $58!!!  Wow!  It is a neat place and while we all enjoyed it, we weren't sure that it was worth $58.  I think if our kids were older, they would have appreciated it more.  We were actually only there for less than 3 hours.  It was a memorable weekend tho, and this just added to our great memories.

Here are some pictures of our day at Shedd...

The beluga whales.  Do you see the baby in the middle?  This is the most recent addition to the aquarium, a 6 week old baby boy beluga.

The "Fantasea" show was the best part and included dolphins, sea lion, a hawk, penguins and the beluga whales.  It was cool.

This was the view from inside the Aquarium... isn't it neat?!

And this was the last picture of our trip.  We were leaving Shedd and were finally able to point out the Sears Tower (now the Willis Tower) to the kids.  It had been too overcast to see it's height before.  Everyone was tired, as you can see from my sweet boy.  :-)
