For the July 4th weekend, both of Joel's sisters were home. Allison, Joel's youngest sister, and her husband live in MT. Her husband, Steve, is a pilot in the Air Force. Steve and his crew were able to participate in this year's local Air Show. On their way to the Air Show they were able to fly over Sandy Pines on Friday, where the whole family was waiting on the beach. A handmade American flag and balloons were decorating the beach.
Then we heard the "thump-thump" of the helicopter blades over the trees...
Steve flew over the beach a few times...one of the crew members was waving and we were all waving and shouting. It was SO COOL!!! Definitely an amazing experience to be a part of. Thanks Steve!
