The weather in Ludington was very nice, but on the cool side. So, the day we picked to go to the "big beach," Lake Michigan, was a little cooler and overcast. The water temp was nice, but the air was chilly. And the waves were AWESOME!!! Joel and I couldn't remember the last time we had been swimming in Lake Michigan. The color of the water is gorgeous and there are sand bars all over.
We had plenty of beach all to ourselves!
The ladies made a big sand castle fort.
The guys had fun throwing the tennis ball around.
Izzy, Joel, Jeff and I all went out to the sand bar. Once you got used to the water it was okay and it was so fun to splash in the waves!
Olivia and Izzy found a warmer spot to play. :-)

Lake Michigan is grand! Brings back such happy memories of family outings to the lake while growing up!
