Since we weren't quite sure when the winter weather might roll in, we decided to get our Christmas tree over the long Thanksgiving weekend. It wasn't too cold and it was dry out.... good conditions. We made the short drive to the farm next door to pick out a Frazier fir. Slim pickings... this might be our last year getting our tree here. :-(
The tree was a little shorter than we liked, so we put it on top of a small plastic storage box... perfect! Joel strung the lights and then the kids got busy decorating! Our tradition is to put in David Phelps' Christmas DVD while we decorate. (Love his music.)
Every year the kids get a new Christmas ornament. It is usally something that represents them ... like a favorite sport, team, hobby, toy, pet, etc. This year they each got a Mickey Mouse "ears hat" from our trip in February. (You can kind of see Izzy's pink one below, the other pictures were too blurry.)
We also enjoyed some homemade pizza on TV trays and watched Mickey's Christmas Carol later. It was a great night!!!

Your tree is adorable!!! What a fun time to enjoy together!
Love You! G
I like it! I also like that I can see a similar handmade Popsicle stick tree ornament on your tree that our kids have made too!
Woah! The pictures actually make your tree look HUGE! I like it! I love the pic of Joel pulling the tree with Izzy holding Rawley behind him. So cute. The tree looks great! Oh, I recognize that scarf too. ;) Looks good on ya!

Lis
