E's Bedroom Tour

I have a son who L-O-V-E-S sports! This kid is obsessed with baseball, football, and basketball and knows all of the players and stats. He loves to watch games with his Dad. I love his passion and love how he will always share this common interest with his Dad. So, it just seemed fitting to incorporate his love of sports into his bedroom. Here is a tour:

Click here to see how I made the PLAY BALL "sign."

I recently found the two wool blankets at an Antique market and they were perfect for his bed.  The blue one with the orange "W" is an old stadium blanket and has someone's name embroidered in the corner.  I paid $35 for both, which I thought was good for wool.  I was able to wash them in my washing machine and lay them over the kitchen chairs to dry.

Moving along...

We collect sports pennants for his room and hang them up using the 3M sticky tabs.  We're about halfway there.

The Detroit Tigers trash can that you can see to the left of the dresser below used to be my husbands.  The dresser was passed down to us by my parents.  The wire magazine rack to the right was from Marshall's and holds all of my son's Sports Illustrated for Kids magazines and other sports books.

This red bookcase was originally from Lowe's (several years ago) and came unfinished.  I painted it red and here E keeps a lot of his collectibles and treasures.  The framed picture on the top of the bookcase was a picture E drew for his Dad's birthday last month.  It's his dad playing baseball.  :-)

That's it!  I really love his room and it is fun to see the walls filling up with the various pennants.

His room looks awesome G! Does he have a SF Giants pennant yet - ya know, the team that's going to beat the Tigers in the World Series?
