Canvas Art
It's time for another summer art project. I really liked doing this one with the kids. It was easy, fast, and cool! As usual, I found this idea on a couple of other blogs...Impress your Kids and Explanation Required. (Check them out for ideas.)
Here's what you do...
Number 1: Choose your canvas size.
Number 2: Using stickers, spell out a quote, verse, favorite saying, etc. on your canvas.
(I chose 6 special words. These are traits that my parents worked hard to instill in their children. My dad also made each one of his 4 kids a special "box" with these words engraved on the inside.)
Number 3: Choose your paint colors and have your kids paint the canvas, covering the letters!
Number 4: Let dry and then peal the stickers off.
Number 5: You may need to touch up the canvas as I did. I just used some white paint to fill in the letters where the paint seeped under the stickers.
I'm not sure if this is where I'll keep it, but I like it for now. I took down a couple of the other frames from these shelves and put them somewhere else, so now I need to fill in the left side of the shelf...hmmm.
Ta da!!! Think of all the possibilities! Have fun!

I LOVE THIS ONE - we might try it, too. Where did you buy the sticker letters?
